First things first, you need to know why you want to create a video. What is your goal? Are you trying to convey a message? The most important thing here is that you know WHY you want to create a video in the first place. This will make the creative process a whole lot easier. Once you’ve got that set in stone you can go ahead and create your video since you already know what you’re working towards.
What Do You Do After The Video Is Made?
Alright so now you have your video made, and it’s time to post it. Most people will post it on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter..etc. While there’s nothing wrong with that, typically what you’re going to find is that you’re only going to get a couple hundred views and probably not that many sales. That can be disappointing if you’ve spent time and hard work creating say, a company About Us video. So in order to work around that my best advice would be to promote your video and set aside maybe $100 as your Ad spend money.
How Do You Generate Sales?
Next I would recommend adding said video to a landing page on your website. On the landing page, add the video and a form where people can put in their contact information so that way when they’re watching your video, they’ll be motivated to put their information because they want to hear more. Some people go above and offer an incentive such as a free e-book or a free product that they will find useful and BOOM! that’s how you get your lead and that’s how you’ll get to track your results from the video.
So remember, first set your goal with what you’re trying to accomplish. Then after you create your video, you can move on to your strategy. Your strategy should include a way for your potential customers to easily input their information. Most times while they’re watching the video or after, they’ll be motivated to take the next step and if you don’t offer an easy way for them to do just that, they’ll just end up forgetting about it or clicking away.
